Press Release - Flight School Operators Complete Training
(LSRM) Ligh Sport Repairmen Maintenance

Corning, CA.
Long-time flight instructors and

owner/operators of Cloud 9
Aerosports, Inc. in St. Marys, PA.
Bob and Lori Keech recently
completed a three week intensive
course culminating in the issuance
of their FAA LSRM-A (Light Sport
Repairman Maintenance) rating.
This certification allows them to do
maintenance, repairs, 100-hour
inspections and Annual Condition
Inspections on all Light Sport
Aircraft, including PPC (Powered Parachutes and WSC (Weight- Shift
Control) aircrafts and Fixed Wing
Aircraft.
            In addition to this course,
they have also completed the Rotax
Engine Maintenance Course in
Hayward, Ca., making them the
area's only factory-authorized
Rotax Engine Mechanics. For Bob
and Lori, the acquisition of these
certifications brings them one step
closer to being a one-stop shop for
their customers and students.

Pictured are Bob, above left, and Lori Keech, above right, local flight instructors and owners of
Cloud 9 Aerosports, Inc. who recently completed an intensive course that provides them with

addtional certification to do repairs, maintenance, and inspections on certain types of aircraft.

Having the capability of being able
to do in-house inspections and
maintenance on our own aircraft
will minimize downtime, maximize
aircraft availability and will
undoubtedly improve
the operational safety of these
aircraft by addressing minor
maintenance issues before they
become major problems, the
Keeches said.
             Rainbow aviation is the only
FAA-Authorized facility in the United States to offer this course, which is held several times a year at their Corning facility and once a
year at the EAA Headquarters in Oshkosh, WI.

They also offer an additonal week
of accelerated training for the
PPC (Powered Parachutes) and WSC
(Weight-Shift Control) Aircraft,
which Bob and Lori completed in
October 2008. CPS (California
Power Systems) of Hayward, CA.
provided the supplemental Rotax
engine training. The Austrian-made
Rotax engine is being used on the
majority of S-LSA (Special Light
Aircraft) being manufactured
around the world today. In the
courses, students are exposed to a
wide variety of aircraft repair work,
including patching fiberglass and
metal; evaluating problems with
various types of corrosion;

troubleshooting the engines; and
repairing wood, metal and
composite props.
Bob and Lori Keech hold the
distinction of being one of only two
husband and wife teams in the
United States to complete this training. Lori Keech holds the
distinction of being only one of two
women to complete both the Rotax
Maintenance Course, and the
LSRM-A; and one of only two
women in the United States who
provides flight training in
Weight-Shift Control Aircraft.
